The move to our new campus is the perfect opportunity to celebrate 20 years serving homeschool families in Jamul and throughout San Diego County!
Some people may wonder why a homeschool program has a campus at all. GSDA isn’t like most homeschool programs. We offer the opportunity for families to take control of their children’s educations, while also offering the benefits of a traditional campus setting. We host on-campus learning experiences to enrich a child’s learning while also fostering collaboration and socialization. Our students enjoy a one hour lunchtime to eat and play with their friends on our very own playground. And new in 2019-20, GSDA will be offering food services on those days.
In addition to housing our on-campus learning, the GSDA campus also stores our vast collection of curriculum and teaching support materials. GSDA families determine which curriculum they will use for their children’s learning and then get guidance and supporting materials from their Educational Consultant.
Also new to GSDA in 2019-20 is access to a science lab. This science lab will be used to provide high school students with their required biology and chemistry labs, as well as to offer various hands-on science experiences to our elementary and middle school students. We’ve also been able to bring back our parent workspace which now includes an outdoor patio.
The new campus is quite a sight to see and we would like to invite the entire community to our 20 Year Celebration and Open House on Friday, August 23, from 11 AM to 2 PM. That’s right - GSDA has been a part of the Jamul community for 20 years and we would love for you to join us to celebrate. At this celebration, we will be offering tours, activities, and lunch. Lunch reservations can be placed between August 12th and 21st, at 619-669-3050.
