Who We Are
In September 1999, the Jamul-Dulzura Union School District opened the Greater San Diego Academy and authorized it to serve students in grades TK-8. Ninth grade was added the following year followed by 10th, 11th and 12th. We now serve grades TK-12.
The school was designed to improve services to existing independent study and home schooling students throughout San Diego County. It is not necessary to have an inter-district transfer from your current district.
Admission to Greater San Diego Academy is considered without regard to ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability or achievement level.

- Educational guidelines appropriate for each child's skill level from credentialed teachers
- Instructional assistance in teaching techniques and different learning styles
- Enrichment electives in Art, Dance, Music and Computer Technology
- Grade level support and enrichment class sessions provided at our resource centers.
- Family field trips and other organized events

- Follow attendance policies which include completion and submission of Learning Records
- Participate in consultant, student and parent progress conferences as scheduled
- Commit to our philosophy of providing direct involvement in the education and instruction of children at home
