Tamara Brown
My name is Tamara Brown and I love to learn! Having lived in Southern California my whole life, I love our mountains, beaches, museums, parks, gardens, and community. I'm also a big fan of the Aztecs, having earned my bachelor's degree from San Diego State University in 1999 and then my teaching credential in 2000. In 2022, I once again received a diploma from SDSU with my master's degree in education with an emphasis on math and science. I began my teaching career at La Mesa Middle School, but once I had my own children I discovered the joy of teaching all grade levels when my husband Steve and I began homeschooling our daughter through GSDA. She promoted from GSDA in 8th grade and our son plans to do the same. Homeschooling with GSDA has proven to be my most unexpected and excellent adventure for the past 12 years. It is my joy to support and encourage students and families. You will often find me on field trips, in the school garden, or in the classroom hoping to help students develop a love for learning and the great outdoors. I deeply believe in our school motto "GSDA- Where every moment is a learning opportunity."
