Brandi Turner
My name is Brandi Turner and this is my second year with GSDA. I was born on a naval base in Naples, Italy as the youngest of three daughters to my wonderful parents who are loving, supporting and the most amazing role models. I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of California Santa Cruz and went on to earn my Masters degree in Education and a multiple subject teaching credential from the University of California Riverside. This is my seventh year as an educator. Prior to becoming an educational consultant at GSDA, I taught kindergarten for five fun-filled years. During my time in the classroom I fell in love with teaching literacy and social emotional learning. I am most passionate about student success and student wellness. I enjoy watching students grow in meaningful ways while also learning themselves and how exactly they learn best. I am currently in a program at San Diego State University- Global Campus to earn my preliminary administrative credential so that I can continue to make an impact for students and their families. I am a mother of one energetic and perfectly designed three year old named Parker. Parker is neurodivergent and has taught me so much about myself. He inspires me to be the best educator that I can be by showing me how to be more patient, more understanding and more compassionate for all students and parents with diverse needs and abilities.
